Are you willing to “Pursue the Mysterious Mech” for a new in-game Title?

With another weekend now upon us, a new series of Extra Battles are available to tackle in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Ibuki’s Akane Yagyu Onimusha Crossover Costume is now in its third week, (along with the returning Air Man Rashid and Guts Man Balrog), as well as the weekly battle for Fortune Tickets against M. Bison, clad in his new Psycho Miasma costume that sees him return to the height of his power from the Street Fighter Alpha days.

There is a special challenge, “Pursue the Mysterious Mech,” which allows players to face off with an alternate version of Chun-Li, based off of her appearance as Shadow Lady in 1998’s Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. Though this is no mere costume change for the strongest woman in the world, as she has new attacks that are based on that alternate incarnation, including her air dash, Rainbow Missiles, Plasma Barrier, Miracle Drill, a triple jump, Infinity Leg, and her Final Mission Hyper Combo as a second Critical Art.

Boasting a staggering 1350 vitality and 2000 Stun, higher values than any of the playable cast members, she will certainly be a unique and challenging foe to defeat, unless you go in with the proper strategy beforehand. Those who are able to conquer this “Very Hard” battle, which costs the usual 1,000 Fight Money per each attempt, will receive the special Title, “Product of Shadaloo” to flaunt in online matches.

You can see a preview of the character in action below, courtesy of X-Kira, as well as some successful attempts at defeating her using Ryu and the newly-released E. Honda, by Redwolfx and Dra, below. This Extra Battle will only be available throughout the weekend, expiring Sunday night at 8:00 P.M. PT (10:00 P.M. CST, 11:00 P.M. ET). We’ve also included some MVC gameplay of her, so you can how her new version stacks up to the original.

Will you be risking some Fight Money to pursue the mysterious mech and her Title this weekend? Let us know in the Comments!
