The Capcom Pro Tour Japan Premier registration has closed and the list of players attending is frightening: It’s a who’s-who of Street Fighter top players from around the world, including Evo 2017 champion Tokido and TWFighter Major 2018 champion Sako, all gearing up for the ever exciting Tokyo Game Show.

Pool play is currently scheduled for Sept. 22nd (Saturday) 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM JST, with top 8 playing out on Sept. 23rd 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM. 1st through 7th place will receive money from a nearly $100,000 USD Prize Pool — a first in TGS’s history, thanks to Japan’s new pro gamer licenses.

Also worth noting is that anyone in attendance, player or spectator, will have the chance to meet Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono. Considering TGS is typically where new character announcements have been made in the past, it would be nice to see Ono take the stage.

Make sure you check out the action at the end of this month at CapcomFighters!

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
