Daigo Umehara and Tokido face off in high-level… Nidhogg play?

Daigo Umehara and Tokido have long been rivals, and what better way to perpetuate the rivalry by pitting them in an American-developed game they have never seen before?

On a recent charity stream for Extra Life, Tasty Steve and Sajam pitted the Japanese players against each other in the orginal Nidhogg. While not a traditional fighting game, the two were quick to discover tech, and in the matches that unfold we see the two unraveling various intricacies of the game, developing high-level tech and mind games on the fly to get their wins.
