In a reveal nobody saw coming, the final character for Season 2 of Street Fighter V is indeed Zeku, the Ever-Changing Ninja. While he may look old, this grandmaster and Guy’s former sensei is still in control of his ninja reflexes, flipping all over the screen to mix up his opponent.
He’s also got great range on some of his kick specials, leaving behind a trail of ink which can tag the opponent. Similar to Akuma’s Demon Flip, Zeku also has a high flying flip move, which can lead into a command grab or a overhead kick in its EX version.
Zeku’s V-Trigger looks to greatly increase his mobility, giving him access to a M. Bison-esque teleport dash. By using a certain special, Zeku teleports away and then reappears from the top of the screen, changing outfits and seemingly ages in the process. If you are using Zeku’s base costume, his outfit change will have him looking like another famous Capcom ninja — Strider Hiryu. When in his Strider stance, Zeku looks to get a brand new set of specials, including a rekka chain which appears similar to Karin’s Guren-Ken.
This gentleman ninja comes with two sets of Battle, Story and Premium costumes — one set for his older form and another for his younger self. Expect a full breakdown of Zeku’s specials, V-Skill and V-Trigger from Capcom Unity in the coming days, and you’ll be able to get your hands on this shape-shifting shinobi on October 24th.
