When Persona 4 Arena Ultimax lands on western shores later this year, it’s set to bring with it a handful of new characters, mechanics, and more. Some of these cast members, however, won’t be arriving in the main game, but instead as downloadable content on the first day of its release. So far, Atlus and Arc System Works have announced two such fighters: Persona 4 protagonist Tohru Adachi and Marie from the Golden port on PlayStation Vita.
Atlus previously revealed that Adachi will be made available free of charge for the first week after the title arrives on consoles in North and South America, and today it was made known that the same courtesy will be extended to Marie.
In Ultimax, the “Hollow Forest Tsundere Poet” will be aided in battle by the Persona Kaguya and will utilize a variety of attacks based off the contents of her bag. Marie specializes in ranged and diversionary techniques, and looks to be a rather unique addition to the game’s character lineup.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America sometime this fall.
