Registered and ready to go. I'm the lone warrior repping the mathematician since my friend told me he can't make it. It was gonna be his first tourney too. Ah well. There's always next year.

I know I'm not working Friday, but I'll need to wait for any call-ins before I know my situation Thursday night.

Also, it may snow a bit this weekend. Hope someone brings some camping heaters for the registration line.

Ahhhhh I finally registered!! Just curious though am i supposed 2 get a confirmation or something?

chris+fugee see you guys friday! didn't think I was gonna make it but things just came together last minute

Yeah, please plan to keep your badge on you all weekend. We know a lot of faces, but we need to MoMos closed to the public like Fugee said. We might be maxing out so all the more reason that only those paying to witness the madness are in the building. We don't want a situation where no one is wearing a badge on Sunday and it's hard for us to tell if random people are cutting in.

We're keeping the pre-reg site open until 6 p.m. today (Wednesday), so if you need to make any changes (add a shirt, add a game, etc.) you've got an extra day. Awesome to see so many of you guys able to make it out this year. We're def more prepared this year for a biiiig showing, so not even stressed like usual yet. Pre-reg is really gonna help this pop off.

Axiom, hit me up and we'll try to figure out Tekken when you get here. We have a lot of systems, but can't know how our layout is 100% going to be like until the day of.

edit: also, can't speak for Fugee but it's been nearly impossible for me to remember all the people who've offered any kind of help for the tourney -- if you want to help us with something, just let us know Thurs/Fri night. It's appreciated!

this'll be my first tourny ever. pretty new but I got convinced by some friends. I just started learning Gen too haha. Looking forward to seeing what the tourny world is like. see you guys there.

Real quick... during setup see if those sectionals in the back corner can be moved to the back room. They were a huge pain in the ass, taking up space, making it hard to move around, and near imposable to get a good spot to watch games. People ended up walking or standing on the damn things.

Perhaps do the same thing with any glass furniture. Someone tried to pick up one of those end tables and didn't know that the glass wasn't attached to the frame. Thankfully, the utility closet was unlocked and I was able to grab a broom and dustpan to clean up the mess.

All the furniture unless needed will be gone thurs night at closing, any other concerns?

It seems to me that many people have gotten the ill-conceived notion that this tournament will not be streamed , despite the assurance to the contrary . Sorry, the daigo v justin event will not be streamed, but the majority of the tournament including finals will be covered live.

Things that you can do to help with the stream:

Tell a friend. Tell your friend to tell 2 friends, and to tell them to tell 2 friends.

Don't be a jerk in the chatroom . If the stream gets really big, realize that the stream chat will be the denizen of the new players and the people that don't even play at all . If even one player is turned on to the scene from this stream, that's a good thing, but I think we can shoot for many more. Please don't kill the chat room unnecessary bs . You know what I mean. We ask that you play nice, particularly with new people. Let's show people our community is fun and inviting and wants new players!

We could use a little help on equipment . Anything that is lent will be labelled and promptly returned to its owner as soon we're through using it (most likely Sunday night), or whenever you need it back. The more we get, the better the stream can be. Here's what we could use: cameras for streaming, microphones, headsets, very long composite video cables, possibly a person or to to help man cameras.

Hm... okay that's all i got I guess. See you all this weekend. If you can't make it, check out Season's Beatings, for the first time the HYPE will come to you living room. Not at the event and miss this stream? Chris Hu say, that's not gonna possible.
