RULES/POT:

All tournaments will be double-elimination; 2/3 matches; 3/5 winners/losers/grand finals.

All pots will be split 70/20/10 after the venue fee of $1 is taken per entrant*. KI and TMNT are exempt, all entree money goes to the pot! Payouts will be in CASH after the grand final match of each game respectively.

*(pot break-down: say 48 people sign up for SF4 at $10 a head for a pre-pot total of $480 [48 x $10 = $480]
the house takes $1 per entrant as venue/registration fee [48 entrants; 48 x $1 = $48]
the house cut of $48 is deducted from the pre-pot total of $480 to determine the pot total, being $432 [$480 - $48 = $432]
the pot total of $432 will then be split into 70%/20%/10% going to 1st/2nd/3rd respectively. [1st = $303; 2nd = $86; 3rd = $43])

A player reserves the right to Double-blind character selection

BYOC (Bring your own Controller/Stick) House PS3 and SNES controllers will be available, S2D is not responsible for your items.

Pausing mid-game will result in a DQ of specific round (non-malfunction)

SF4: Winner keeps same character, loser may change.

SF2-HD: Winner keeps same character, loser may change; Akuma is banned.

MvC2: Winner keeps same team/order, loser may change; No game-breaking glitches (Juggernaut Power-up glitch allowed)

3s: Winner keeps same character, but may change super art, loser may change; Gill is banned. Judgement can't decide a draw.

KI: Winner keeps same character, loser may change; Eyedol is banned; Sky Stage is banned; All VS. screen codes are banned.

TMNT: Winner keeps same character, loser may change; Bosses are banned; Hi-Speed 1.

# 1: The game was on the wrong system. It was announced for PS3 and when I got there it was running on Xbox 360. This means I could use my own stick and had to borrow someone else's unfamilar stick. First off let me start by saying this tournament was organized by DJ himself and is being ran with everything from the last tournament taken into consideration. # 2: The tournament did not start on time. Competition started nearly an hour after it was supposed to. This caused two players from California to have to sit out of the tournament since they had to leave early. Matches were constantly slowed down by issues with unplugging and plugging stick on the Xbox 360, as well as having to borrow sticks to play on.

There is a full schedule up at S2D right now and all the games will be starting ON TIME. As for the XBOX issues, we all know the XBOX is always a big hassle when switching controllers, or switching anything for that matter. This is being ran as a PS3 tournament and the buttons have to be set before the match. Both players can do a button check before the match starts and then reset. If you start the match and start playing for more than 5 seconds or so and your buttons are wrong you have 2 options.

1. Forfeit the match and change your buttons
2. Play with your buttons wrong and fix them before the next match.

NO EXCEPTIONS, this will not be an issue this time, trust me.

# 3: Poor rules enforcement. Twice during the tournament a player started a match, played for about 30 seconds and then announced their button configuration was incorrect. This is something that has to be announced IMMEDIATELY at the start of the match or the player is in suspicion of cheating. In the future all players should do buttons checks and then start their official match. In the official EVO rules if a player discovers that they have a bad button configuration beyond the beginning of the match it is the same as unplugging a controller or pushing start. It is up to a judge or their opponents discretion whether or not to correct the issue or give a round loss.

If this isn't your area I would like you to forward this to whoever is in charge of the HD remix tournament.

If these things can be fixed I would probably come out.

The rules might not have been enforced on the 6/13 tournament but they will be this time.

This is S2D's second major tournament, they took all the input from the last tourny, talked to the players, and accepted all advice. Its shaping up to be the biggest and best major Louisville has seen thus far.

They have a binder up at S2D that DJ whipped up, and it includes a full rules set that is comp standard, a full schedule with specific times for each game, proper sign up sheets and the whole 9 yards.

I hope you decide to come out and give S2D another shot.
