Hey guys. I've been in talks with a bunch of people about this tournament and we're going to try to get some showcase events with various players and games from all over the country (provided they come down). Nothing is definite yet, but things are looking REALLY good right now. GET HYPE!!!!

Players will be expected to behave in a humanly manner. Hype is fine, but I have a ZERO tolerance for fighting. We don't need another Evo East 2007 Marvel moment, or something worse. If things get out of hand I will not hesitate to eject players.
The same thing goes for cheating. If anyone is caught cheating, using a modified stick (PS3/360 mods are OK), or anything of the sort, you will be thrown the hell out and banned from any future tournaments run by us.
======Reason for PlayStation 3 Only Tournaments. EVERYONE READ!!!======
The reason why we're having these games on PlayStation 3 only is because of stick availability. 95% of us have PlayStation 2 sticks. We can then just use a converter to use that stick on PlayStation 3's. If you have a 360 stick, sorry, but we can't convert those.

Registration begins at 10am on Saturday and will run throughout the event. You must register and receive a bracelet in order to walk into the event, so all registration fees (venue and main tournament entry) will be collected up front all at once. Side tournament fees, if any, will be collected by that tournament runner whenever they choose.

- STREET FIGHTER 4 EVOLUTION 5V5 TEAM SPOTS QUALIFIER
Because of EVO2K9's decision to change the HDR 5v5 tournament to SF4 5v5, Justin Wong has asked me if he could run two small qualifier tournaments for the last two spots on his team. He will be having 2 separate FREE tournaments to fill the last two spots of his 5v5 team for the EVO2K9 Street Fighter IV team tournament. Entrants MUST be going to EVO2K9 in Las Vegas. If you're NOT DEFINITELY GOING, DON'T ENTER!!!
The following characters are already taken:
- Rufus (Justin)
- Balrog/Boxer (Marn)
- Sagat (Joe)
Each tournament will be run one after the other. The winner of the first tournament will not enter in the second one. He will be given the 4th spot. Because of this, the first winner's character MAY NOT BE CHOSEN BY ANYONE in the second tournament.
Each tournament will be 2/3 games, single elimination.
You MUST stick with the same character throughout the ENTIRE tournament(s). No counter-picking. Your character will be signed to your name upon registration.
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask Justin himself. This is HIS OWN TOURNAMENT. Registration will be taken by him, not at the event desk.

- Pre-Seed Qualifier @ Play 'N Trade Union Square
Justin will be hosting a small ranbat season in April at Play 'N Trade in Union Square (Manhattan). We have agreed to give the winner of that ranbat a seed in the tournament. It won't be a top seed, so don't worry, but we will consider that person as one of the better players so they will be seeded as far apart from everyone else as possible. That person will be in the second bracket.
We're hoping that by helping make his ranbat successful, we can draw more hype and attendees to ECT. Plus, it will be more practice for everyone going to his ranbat.
