FrameWhisperer explains why wall bounces aren’t working in Tekken 7 Season 2

“Season 2 is a huge success overall … but it’s unfortunate that ‘Wall Bounces’ are way too weak.”

When the Season 2 trailer first dropped for Tekken 7, the appearance of “Wall Bounce” — what was previously a Geese-only mechanic — was as mystifying as it was terrifying. Damage is so high already when you get slapped into a wall — how can you make them better, and why would you?

Whatever fears people had of its strength, though, it seems like the exact opposite ended up being the problem: The stage spacing requirements, coupled with several characters having their lone wall bounce move locked behind a string, has led to this new mechanic being a novelty, at best. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though, as FrameWhisperer points out in his latest analysis of the new mechanic — just a disappointing one.
