Following up on the addition of a playable Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown in Yakuza 6, Sega’s Ryu ga Gotoku Studio is adding yet another classic fighter into one of their games. AM2’s 1995 classic Fighting Vipers is set to be playable in their upcoming Project Judge.
Fighting Vipers will be one of two classic arcade games (the other being Motor Raid) that will be playable in play spots in Project Judge. This marks the first time that Motor Raid has been officially playable on non-Sega hardware; Fighting Vipers has had digital releases on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though. As was the case with Yakuza 6, Project Judge will feature complete builds of both games, playable in their entirety.
Project Judge launches on PlayStation 4 in Japan, Asia, and South Korea on December 13, 2018 followed by a western release sometime in 2019.
