If there’s one thing that the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike faithful look forward to every year, it’s none other than the Cooperation Cup – the yearly team tournament featuring the game’s best players. Now, we know when the next installment of this legendary tournament will take place!

During the 3rd MANIAX Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike tournament this past Sunday, it was announced that the 17th Cooperation Cup will take place from January 5 to 6, 2019. As with the previous event, next year’s Coop Cup will take place at the Hulic Hall in Asakusabashi.

For those who are not yet familiar with it, the Cooperation Cup is a 5-on-5 team battle tournament featuring teams of the best 3rd Strike players from all over. In addition to the main tournament, the event also has a Pre-Coop Cup 5-on-5 tournament, featuring teams of players playing only one specific character.
