Capcom reveals the prize pool for this year’s Tokyo Game Show CPT tournament

This year marks the first year that Street Fighter players in Japan get to compete as paid professionals in the country, thanks to their new pro licenses. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise then that the upcoming Capcom Pro Tour Premier tournament for Street Fighter V at the Tokyo Game Show will have a significant prize pool. This year, players competing at TGS will be fighting over a massive ¥10,000,000 pot. This is equivalent to about $90,500 USD.

From this prize pool, the first place winner will be receiving  ¥5,000,000, half of the total prize pool. The rest will be divided among the remainder of the top 8. You can check out the breakdown below:

  • 1st place – ¥5,000,000
  • 2nd place – ¥2,500,000
  • 3rd place – ¥1,500,000
  • 4th place – ¥500,000
  • 5th place ties – ¥150,000
  • 7th place ties -¥100,000
