While CEO 2018 was taking over Daytona Beach, another battle was raging in Japan with Nakano Street Battle 3. Though many of Japan’s finest were chasing Capcom Pro Tour and Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour glory in the States, nearly 100 of Japan’s greatest lesser-known players showed up to compete in both titles, with the winner of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition earning an all-expenses paid flight out to Esports Festival Hong Kong 2018 — a CPT Premier event — taking place August 25th and 26th, courtesy of Atlas Bear. Names like Iori, Yossan, Reiketsu, Pekos, Nishikin, Trashbox, Inuchiyo, Youshikibi, and Initial Kyouso were all looking to take home the gold, ensuring some fierce battles — especially with the customary single-elimination, first-to-two, format!
