Yes, I know, we’re slap in the middle of E3. But Mikado Arcade has decided it’s time for their retro fighter classic, Street Fighter Carnival 11, and no matter what time it is, they’re right. This wild tournament series pits Japan’s FGC against each other across a wide variety of arcade games between June 11th and July 6th — and it begins with a SFC staple, World Heroes 2.

Mikado Arcade will track the tournament performances of players via this public google document, which has also given us a sneak peek at future titles down the line: Virtua Fighter 3tb, Fight Fever, and, hilariously, the Taito soccer game Football Champ.

You can follow the action of SFC11 by subscribing to Mikado’s official YouTube channel. For the night owls in the US, you can even try to catch them when they livestream.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
