Naruto, Goku, Frieza, Luffy and others collide in multi-franchise crossover “Jump Force” [UPDATED]

It seems like BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is not the recent game with colliding universes. During the Microsoft E3 conference, the company presented Jump Force, a new 3D brawler coming in 2019.

The trailer presents the world’s most famous shinobi, Naruto, Luffy from One Piece, as well as Frieza and Goku from Dragon Ball Z colliding in battle in what looks like New York City. We see some early in-game shots, but at this stage it’s unclear exactly what exact form the gameplay will take, or if the title will be 1-on-1 or team-based.

The end of the trailer teases Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty hype about either Light brawling with his fists, or using Ryuk like its his Persona, and then writing down Naruto’s name in his notebook as a finishing move…

The game uses Unreal Engine and is developed in collaboration between Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft. Expect more details to surface soon.

UPDATE: More details have since surfaced from Bandai Namco.
