The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Tournament Series will feature tournaments for Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, and Street Fighter Alpha 3.,

Capcom has announced the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Tournament Series to celebrate the release of the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection later this month. The series is comprised of three tournaments for three different Street Fighter games, coinciding with Capcom Pro Tour events. Each game will have a prize pool of at least $7,000 — and the top eight finalists will get a share.

The first game in the tournament series will be Super Street Fighter II Turbo, held at CEO in Orlando, Florida from June 29 to July 1. Next up will be Street Fighter Alpha 3, which will be held at SoCal Regionals in Ontario, California from Sept. 14 to Sept. 16. Finally, Canada Cup will host Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike in Toronto, Canada from Oct. 26-28.

30th Anniversary Tournament Series

While Super Turbo and 3rd Strike were both featured in the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Tournament Series in 2013 and continue to see a consistent presence at major events, Alpha 3 has not been as popular for tournament play. But with more than $7,000 in prize money in play for each game, there will definitely be some veterans returning to the game soon.

Registration is currently open for the Super Street Fighter II Turbo tournament at CEO via smash.gg.
