The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, Capcom’s 30th birthday present for their flagship fighting franchise, is almost here. With the game hitting soon, the company has released a few more details on the games’ training and versus modes.
In a new post over on Capcom-Unity, the nitty-gritty of the Collection’s Training and Versus modes are laid out. One interesting thing with the latter is that Versus mode encompasses all titles at once in one mode; selecting which game to play is simply just another step in the setup process.
Speaking of stages, each stage will now detail which characters debuted in said stage when being selected.
As for training mode, this will apparently be available for the four games that will have online play – Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. The training modes for these games will come with all the bells and whistles you’d expect such as dummy control, damage display, and input display.
Unfortunately, it seems that no such mode will be available for the games not also available to play online. The new modes are late additions to the title, and will be provided for download via a day one patch.
The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch on May 29.
