One of the things that Capcom has implemented in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition are crossover costumes, usually tied to the game’s Extra Battle mode. Since January, we’ve had a steady stream of these, with crossovers with a number of classic Capcom IPs such as Viewtiful Joe, Captain Commando, Monster Hunter, and more. Now, it seems that the recent patch may have added a few more.

It seems that Astaroth from Ghosts ‘n Goblins will be coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition as a costume for M. Bison. A screenshot of said crossover costume was tweeted by UK player Tyrant.

As for the screenshot itself, it is presumably datamined from the 3.030 patch — there has been no official statement from Capcom confirming the costume, or as to how the costume could be obtained in-game. Not yet — but there’s a good chance this will be the next Extra Battle challenge after Guile’s Nameless Super Soldier outfit.

For those not familiar with him (or are thinking of a different character, from a tale of souls and swords, eternally retold…), Astaroth is the final boss of the classic platformer Ghosts ‘n Goblins. He also occasionally makes appearances as a boss in other games in the series.
