With the Super Street Fighter II Turbo “Tournament of Legends” qualifiers in full swing, people are fiending for the tournament to commence at Canada Cup — as well as to get their name forever etched into the limited edition poster that accompanies the event. For online players, there is now a serious chance to make that happen.

Sergjiev — host of the weekly Monday Night FightCade Super Street Fighter II Turbo events — has announced that he has secured $1,000 in travel and lodging for the winner of the upcoming online qualifiers taking place in June and July.

The tournament qualifiers will feature the Monday Night FightCade format — where players will compete in a Swiss Tournament, with the top 8 playing in what is known as “Sergjiev’s Tower of Doom”. In this top 8, the 8th seed will play the 7th seed, then the winner moves on to face the next highest seed, on and on until they face the #1 seed.

The winners of these tournaments will move on to a final double-elimination bracket to determine who goes to Toronto to represent the online community.

For those interested, you can find the schedule listed below. Those interested in playing are asked to send their registration information to Sergjiev via email directly.
