In this day and age of digital distribution, getting a physical release — especially for a smaller title — is often seen as a big deal. One such title in that category that will be getting a physical release in the USA is SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, but only for Nintendo Switch.

In an interview in a recent issue of UK games industry magazine, NIS America CEO Takuro Yamashita revealed that thhey, along with SNK, were approached by Nintendo at Gamescom last year with an eye towards working with the latter on an exclusive basis. The result of this is that not only with the physical release of SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy be exclusive to the Switch, but Nintendo themselves will be distributing it in the region.

In addition to this, Yamashita revealed that before they were approached by Nintendo, they had only signed on with SNK for the PlayStation 4 version. That said, he also stated that their titles for both systems tend to sell twice as much on Switch as they do on PlayStation 4.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is set to launch on both Switch and PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018.
