Street Fighter Carnival X is Mikado Arcade’s currently-ongoing multi-game tournament series for a wide variety of classic (and sometimes, obscure) arcade titles. To see the beginning of these high-level Japanese tournaments, go here!

Starting us off is SNK’s Fatal Fury Special, which has been the most-often played title of this year’s SFC. Because of this, the competition is as fierce as it’s ever been!

Next is Far East of Eden: Kabuki Klash. This 1995 game is the first fighting game made by developer Racdym, and with its deliberate ground game, slick sprite work and chaotic item interactions, it’s likely their best entry in the genre. None of this forgives Lucifeller, though.

And closing us out is ADK’s World Heroes 2. Don’t confuse this with World Heroes 2 Perfect –– these titles are quite different from each other, both mechanically and in pacing. If you want to compare, SSFC2017 has had its own tournament for WH2P, which you can check out here.

You can follow the action of SFCX by subscribing to Mikado’s official YouTube channel. For the night owls in the US, you can even try to catch them when they livestream.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
