Since we last broke the news on the discovery of the Rotate Cancel glitch in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, the JJBA:ASB community has been pushing this truly bizarre glitch to its limits. Let’s take a look at some of the ways the community has exploited this brand new tech for a 5-year old game:

Xemasklyr has more than a few rotate cancels to show us. While some characters make better use of it then others, Johnathan’s long legs on his st.C make his particularly useful.

Will Zeppeli used to be held down by somewhat lower-than-average damage. Thanks to Rotate Cancels, this is no longer the case.

Lastly from Xemasklyr, we have Hol Horse’s Gun Loop. Hol Horse already had loops and high damage — Rotate Cancels just help keep things more stable and flashy:

MrMulaflaga shows how you can use even a simple inclusion at the end of juggles for a bit more meter gain and damage with Yoshikage Kira.

Free Meal8WR shows how Wham can intentionally trigger JJBA:ASB’s infinite protection system with Rotate Cancels to go for cheeky mix-ups…

…and how Kakyoin becomes a command grab/high/low mix-up monster, so long as you keep an eye on your meter usage. Shame his damage is still bad, but with tech like this, it probably should be.

Tyadran was one of the original players to show off the power of Rotate Cancels in combos, and he’s got more juggles for several members of the cast here:

Finally, closing us out is GreenPoolBall. By far the most broken-looking implementation of Rotate Cancel appears to the silliness that can occur when combined with Super Jump cancels:

Thanks to everyone that’s submitted Rotate Cancel content over the past few days. Wondering where all this stuff came from, or have an interest in the game itself? Most of the players linked above are from the JoJo:ASB discord, located here.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
