A look into what this compilation will deliver for classic Street Fighter fanatics.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

As we creep closer to the release window for Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, some new footage of the game compilation in action was long overdue! PlayStation Underground has now brought us exactly that: giving us our first good look at what the collection has to offer.

In their half-hour preview video, we see the overall menu layout and some in-game footage from Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. The attention to historical detail and the overall presentation is quite impressive, including the classic “cabinet art” borders (which can be turned off). The speed at which the compilation switches between titles is also a nice surprise — the load times are near-nonexistent in this demonstration. It’s not easy to see exactly how true to arcade gameplay the titles are from a single video, but it looks promising; although the speed setting on Super Turbo looks… a bit off? Judge for yourselves by checking out the video below.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is expected to release in May 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
