More details continue to emerge from DasVergeben about a rumored JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fighting game developed by Soft Circle French Bread, that we’ve been reporting on since last week.

After hearing back from his source once again, we have an ever clearer idea of what the roster of this title may look like. Fighters mentioned previously include:

  • Jotaro Kujo
  • Young and Old Joseph Joestar
  • Johnny Joestar
  • Jolyne Cujoh
  • Yoshikage Kira
  • DIO
  • Jonathan Joestar
  • both Josuke Higashikatas from Part 4 and Part 8
  • Koichi Hirose
  • Gyro Zeppeli
  • Jobin Higashikata
  • Noriaki Kakyoin
  • Muhammad Avdol
  • Jean-Pierre Polnareff
  • Iggy
  • Giorno Giovanna

They will apparently be joined by the following new fighters to make a 36 character base roster:

  • Robert E. O. Speedwagon
  • Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli
  • Kars
  • Wamuu
  • Hol Horse
  • Okuyasu Nijimura
  • Rohan Kishibe
  • Trish Una
  • Guido Mista
  • Diavolo
  • Narciso Anasui
  • Ermes Costello
  • Funny Valentine
  • Diego Brando
  • Dio Brando
  • Father Enrico Pucci

DasVergeben notes that though the 35th and 36th character are unaccounted for, Baron Zeppeli and Alternate World Diego were originally going to be DLC according to his source, but have possibly been moved up to the base roster to reach 36, as character production was likely moving along at a better pace than initially expected. Though this is only an assumption, as both of their current statuses are unknown. As for DLC, there will apparently be two “Character Passes” with 6 characters in each, for a total of 12 additional warriors, bringing the roster up to 48. The DLC characters they’ve heard about include:

  • Vanilla Ice
  • Pet Shop
  • Lisa Lisa
  • Esidisi
  • Rudol Von Stroheim
  • Weather Report
  • Emporio Alnino
  • Straizo
  • Akira Otoishi
  • Yukako Yamagishi
  • Pannacotta Fugo
  • Bruno Bucciarati

Lastly, DasVergeben revealed that Yoshikage Kira will be voiced in English by Dan Southworth, while Pucci will be played by Steve Blum, as well as mentioning some more info from his source about character production — which could help to explain the title’s massive roster size:

Speaking more about the 2 season passes, they claim that for some unknown reasons the DLC will be done much faster than originally thought. The planning is done at this point for them from what they were told, and they just need to work on the characters themselves. But they’ve found some efficient method for creating the game’s roster. I don’t know if that means adapting the characters themselves to the game equals them being fairly simple, streamlined character adaptations or what exactly. I found that interesting regardless as it would help explain the roster being as big as it is.

That’s all for now, but stay tuned to Shoryuken for any further developments on this rumor — and, as always, don’t forget to take all of this with a bit of salt, as nothing here has been verified by the publisher!

[UPDATE: Unfortunately, it turns out that this game information is apparently based on a fake leak.]
