Bandai Namco posted a showcase of the latest confirmed fighter in SoulCalibur VI, Nightmare. The behind the scenes video briefly talks about the flagship bad guy of the series, explaining a developer perspective on creating the grand return of the Soul Edge wielder.

Narrating the video is producer Motohiro Okubo, who states that SCVI is a game with light and dark elements — with Nightmare obviously representing the dark side. Many fans also speculate whether Siegfried will show as his own character (despite his human form being visible if certain parts of Nightmare are broken). Furthermore, Okubo mentions how much polish and production value is going into the character, so from his point of view, the game is ending up “absurdly cool.”
