SNK announces April release window for The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match, releases teaser and new screenshots

At Evo Japan, SNK announced The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match, an online-enabled port of the cult classic The King of Fighters ’97 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. While they initially stated that the game was coming in “Spring 2018″we now have a slightly more specific release window. SNK has announced that The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match will roll out sometime this April.

While The King of Fighters ’97 isn’t as fondly remembered as The King of Fighters ’98 — or even The King of Fighters 2002 — it still has a cult following among certain players. This new release is a great way for fans to once again play the game — and play it against each other, thanks to online play.

Alongside the announcement they’ve also released a teaser trailer — the same teaser that they showed on stage at Evo Japan — as well as some screenshots. You  can check these all out below.
