It’s a pretty good time to be an Arc System Works fan, particularly if you care about Evolution 2018’s lineup of main stage games. Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 enthusiasts will not only have their game as part of the main event, but it will also have a spot in the arena on Sunday. Furthermore, series creator and director Daisuke Ishiwatari announced during the Evolution 2018 stream that REV 2 will get its next patch sometime in March.

Teasing a game balance-focused patch, a short clip was showcased some of the upcoming changes, teasing new possibilities for the cast. Partially captured in the GIF below, there isn’t much concrete information regarding the update — except from a REV 2 arcade loketest. While the community helped translate the official Japanese patch note document, we can’t be sure if the listed changes will go into effect until the patch launches sometime in March. Ishiwatari stated that the patch is expected to roll out simultaneously globally.

What we do know, however, is that the patch — titled 2.10 — will launch in Japanese arcades on February 14th (effectively February 13th in some parts of the world). This will be a great opportunity to check out players in Japan adjusting to the rebalancing.

In other Arc System Works news, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will release Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long as free DLC characters, and their title is part of the Evolution 2018 lineup, too.
