Not wanting to waste any time, Stream.me have announced their own online tournament series for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Named after the fighting tournament organized by a certain robotic bugman, the Cell Games will see players competing for $5000 over a series of eight weekly tournaments.

Similar to other Stream.me tournaments like War of the Gods or Kombat Cup, each tournament will have a qualifying event on the Saturday, followed by a Top 8 on the following Tuesday. The Top 32 contenders from each week will earn circuit points, with the eight players with the highest scores qualifying for the season finale.

This first edition of the Cell Games is limited to North American PS4 players — so bad luck you FighterZ on PC and Xbox One. Week 1 of the Cell Games will kick off on February 10th, with the schedule and additional rules to be announced soon. As you can imagine, all of the action will be streamed over on Stream.me, with registration now open for the inaugural week of competition.
