As some of you may be aware, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is already available in Japan. In line with the game’s release, Famitsu recently published an interview with some of the people behind the game in a recent issue.

Interviewed were producer Ichiro Hazama and director Takeo Kujiraoka; as part of the interview, they talked about the game’s connection to the PSP games, as well as how it appeals to veterans of those. Specifically, they mention how a certain plot point from those prior games remained unresolved. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT now resolves this point.

Another thing they discussed was the release schedule for the game’s DLC characters — specifically, they stated that they will not be adding the DLC characters soon after release. Rather, they want to wait, both for the Western release (on January 30), as well as for things to “settle down” a bit after both launches.

Of course, this is just part of what they talk about, they also discuss things such as their favorite story moments, and more.

For those interested, Siliconera has translated a few highlights from the interview.
