Nintendo and Bandai Namco’s Pokkén Tournament DX quietly confirmed the 2018 Pokkén World Championships today via the Pokémon World Championship series registration page. On February 9-11, 2018, Sydney Olympic Park in Australia will be home to Pokkén‘s first stop. You can check out the announcement and registration page here.

While the World Championship itself has yet to be announced on Pokkén’s official site, the reveal is something of a hallmark for Pokkén: of its two previous championship tournaments, this is the first Pokkén qualifier held outside of Japan, North America and Europe. This could be an indication that the tour for 2018 is going to bigger than anything Pokkén has seen before.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
