Mikado Arcade in Japan is known as a consistent competitive hot-spot for a wide variety of old school arcade fighters. While we’ve been covering their current multi-game tournament series Super Street Fighter Carnival 2017, there’s also consistent tournaments for individual games: in this case, Mikado’s 7th high-level Marvel Super Heroes tournament.

MSH was Capcom’s second foray into Marvel fighting games, and is the direct predecessor of X-Men vs. Street Fighter. A large part of the mental game (and mechanics) are built around its Infinity Gem system. This system allows players to enjoy new mechanics and buffs, which you can read further about at the SRK Wiki.

If you want to know more about the history of this MSH tournament, be sure to read our on-site reporting from previous Mikado Arcade’s previous Marvel tournaments!
