Welcome to the Rollback: a frame-by-frame look back at our past week’s most notable news — and our favorite SRK articles — from November 17 to November 23, 2017!
Zavian “mushin_Z” Sildra, Editor-in-Chief:
Itazan’s one of my favorite players to watch, and I look forward to seeing how far his Muscle Power can push him into the brackets of Capcom Cup 2017.
It’s great to see SNK is still adding content to The King of Fighters XIV — and community-inspired content, no less.
Red Bull Battle Grounds came to a close with a brief look at some of the changes coming to SFV in 2018, along with a somewhat subtle hint at the first DLC fighter of Season 3.
Sam “Trilby” Foxall, Assistant Editor:
Want to turn your opponents into a volleyball and smash them into the ground? Well, Gotenks will be the fighter for you. A capable zoner with his Revenge Cannon and Super Kamikaze Ghost Attack, this fused fighter will be a pain to deal with.
If you thought Marvel vs. Capcom was odd, this crossover is downright bizarre. These branded Transformer figures will have characters like Chun-Li, Ryu and Ken transforming into hot rods and planes. As if Chun-Li needed more alternate costumes.
Smash 4 modders are hard at work on a total conversion mod, which makes the Wii U fighter more like Melee. One recent addition to this mod is the return of Melee air dodges and wavedashing — something that many fans have been praying for.
Keegan “Interrobang!?” Spindler, Features Editor:
Drop combos in style with this frankly ridiculous set of Street Fighter jewellery. I know it’s going on my Christmas list…
R. Pika holds a very special place in my heart, and I’m always looking to up my Pokkén game. Someone has to keep up with Crow Spaceboy around these parts.
Tekken 7’s announcement of Geese’s arrival in 3d was explosive, and it looks like the reality of the character will be just as much fun. Spooky breaks down the character in detail. If you’re like me, you can’t wait.
Punk took the top spot at Red Bull Battle Grounds this year; Forte catches us up on Boston’s fight to qualify in this report.
