Early 2018 is going to be mighty busy for anime fighter fans, as PQube have just announced that Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late[st] (or UNIST for short) will be launching in Europe on February 9th. Launching simultaneously for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, this long-awaited fan favorite boasts some of the coolest character designs in fighting games at the moment, along with the best tutorial and practice suite.
For dedicated fans, Rice Digital are also releasing a special “End of Dawn” Edition of UNIST, complete with a copy of the game’s soundtrack, an artbook and a 20-piece badge collection for each of UNIST’s fighters. Pre-orders are currently available on the Rice Digital store, with the Collector’s Edition going for £54.99.
As for UNIST fans in the US, expect a release date announcement at PlayStation Experience, where the game is playable on the show floor. With fighting game developers trying to ensure regional parity on launch, I wouldn’t be surprised if the North American version of UNIST also launched on February 9th.
UPDATE: Aksys has chimed in to let us all know that North America will see the game arrive on the same date.
First off, Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late[ST] (#UNIST to her friends) comes out in North America February 9th, 2018 in solidarity with our EU compatriots! Pre-order info coming soon!
