Some thoughts on what we know, what we don’t, and what can be seen in Capcom’s V-Trigger preview.

When the North American Capcom Pro Tour Regional Finals came to their conclusion yesterday, Capcom provided a closer look at the gameplay changes coming to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition in January 2018.¬†Specifically, the new trailer shows off some of the new V-Triggers you’ll be able to choose from, and how the combo extenders and mix-ups that they¬†provide may add some much-desired versatility to the game’s system. We don’t know exactly how these V-Trigger mechanics will work yet, but some conclusions can be reached from the footage in the trailer itself.

In this video, rooflemonger goes over each of the V-Triggers shown, breaking down what can be seen and details about their operation that might not be immediately obvious:

VesperArcade is also digging into the new trailer, discussing the mechanics as they are shown, and what impact they may have on the game overall.
