“Super Street Fighter Carnival 2017” marches on! SSFC2017 is the currently ongoing Japanese tournament series at Mikado Arcade for a wide variety of classic (and sometimes, obscure) arcade titles. If you missed the first few tournaments from SSFC2017, there’s a lot to catch up on!

We live in a world where how “anime” a fighting game looks often tells you about its gameplay. By that logic, you’d expect the girls of Koihime Enbu (Developer Yeti‘s only fighting game to date), to spend about 90 seconds per round dashing through the air, filling the screen with shmup-like projectiles. If this is your first time watching Koihime Enbu, you might be surprised to see how grounded and patient the gameplay actually is. There’s a small but passionate scene for this game, which is also available on Steam for anyone looking to pick up a footsie-focused indie fighter.

Mikado is constantly uploading a wide variety of arcade entertainment on their channel, so be sure to check them out. You can also try to catch them when they livestream!

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
