Welcome to the Rollback: a frame-by-frame look back at our past week’s most notable news — and our favorite SRK articles — from November 10 to November 16, 2017!

Zavian “mushin_Z” Sildra, Editor-in-Chief:

Frame 1:
ARIKA Fighting EX LayerARIKA’s Fighting EX Layer is getting a two week PS4 beta, starting on December 11th

The “mysterious fighting game project” now has an official name (and it’s what everyone was calling it, anyway). With a beta test coming to PlayStation 4 soon, I look forward to trying it out this December.

Frame 2:
tekkentrainingTEKKEN TRAINING: Electric Wind God Vids — Dealing with Eddy’s Relax stance

Eddy’s Relax stance makes everyone do everything but. This will help but a lid on his infuriating capoeira antics.

Frame 3:
sf street fighter capcom 30th anniversary logoRed Bull Music Academy presents the Diggin’ in the Carts X Street Fighter II remix project

I love the classic tunes from Street Fighter II, and remixes always prove entertaining. I’ll be paying attention to this project!

Frame 1:
gotenks_gohan_kid_buuUltimate Gohan, Gotenks, and Kid Buu confirmed for Dragon Ball FighterZ

Another month, another info drop for Dragon Ball FighterZ. This month’s reveals are all characters from the Maijin Buu Saga — being Gotenks, Ultimate Gohan and Kid Buu. With a rumored four characters left to be revealed, expect more news from Jump Festa.

Frame 2:
mvci_danteA giant Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite balance patch is coming on December 5th

Not sure what Capcom were thinking when they decided to drop a huge balance patch right before a major tournament, but the Battle for the Stones should be interesting nonetheless! With Dante getting nerfed into oblivion, expect to see a lot less of the demon hunter.

Frame 3:
Sailor Moon SCatch all the action from TSB Yabai’s Sailor Moon S event in this match footage

Sailor Moon S is gaining quite the cult following, with tournaments at Canada Cup and most recently, TSB: Yabai Invasion. If you’re looking to learn this poverty masterpiece, check out this match footage.

Keegan “Interrobang!?” Spindler, Features Editor:

Frame 1:
Necalli Critical ArtShoryuken interview: Sherryjenix talks about Necalli, C. Viper, and getting more women into the community

Sherryjenix has been flame-kicking fools for years, and Missing Person caught up with her at Canada Cup to find out more about her transition to SFV, and winning friendlies in any game you care to step to her.

Frame 2:
HORI portable gaming monitor pro open cropShoryuken review: HORI sets you up to game on the go with their Portable HD Gaming Monitor Pro

Perfect for fiends and seasoned travelers alike, this seems to be a great piece of kit. It certainly earned EiC mushin_Z’s seal of approval.

Frame 3:
dbfz_android_18_level_3Android 18 bosses her twin brother around in her Dragon Ball FighterZ introduction trailer

Dragon Ball FighterZ remains my most anticipated title of next year, and Android 18 is one of my day one test subjects. This trailer just makes her look like even more fun — I can’t wait to get my hands on them.

Extra Frame:
tekken 7 noctis reveal name card“Let’s hunt!” — Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis joins the cast of Tekken 7 in Spring 2018

With the TWT finals sponsored by Nissin Cup Noodles, I guess we really should have seen this coming…? An unexpected and unusual crossover character that should still fit into Tekken’s… “eclectic” cast just fine! Editor-in-Chief. Street Fighterin' since there was only a "II" in the title.
