Getting back to the stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee is difficult enough, but adding in wall jump techs on several characters could actually make it more of a mess. By accidentally hitting a wall during your recovery move, you could unknowingly send yourself into a wall jump, which can be punished by your opponent.

So how do you save yourself in those moments? SSBM Tutorials proposes three options. The first is the safest, which allows you to drift to the stage after performing an aerial move immediately following a wall jump. You can also air dodge onto the platform — which is riskier. Further, if you are truly feeling yourself, you can do a waveland on the stage.
