Welcome to the Rollback: a frame-by-frame look back at our past week’s most notable news — and our favorite SRK articles — from November 3 to November 9, 2017!

Frame 1:
Here are the qualifiers for the Tekken World Tour Finals on November 12th

This weekend sees Tekken’s best of the best compete in the final event of Tekken 7‘s first world circuit. Don’t miss it!

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will only include new V-Triggers at launch

Looks like players hoping for an even bigger shake-up to SFV’s variable system are in for a disappointment in Arcade Edition. Time will tell if new V-Skills and Critical Arts are really in the works for a future update.

Frame 3:
Capcom Cup 2017 Player Analysis: Will Fuudo exorcise his demons?

I’ve been rooting for Fuudo’s muscle-spirited run at SFV since Evo 2016; so while Missing Person is less than optimistic about Fuudo’s shot at the Cup in this analysis, I’ll still be cheering him on.

Rashid Sports CostumeInternational Olympic Committee rules that “esports” are in fact “sports”

Could we expect Street Fighter at the Olympics in the near future? While the IOC has ruled that esports can be classed alongside traditional sports, the lack of an official esports governing body is what is holding people back from seeing players on the Olympic podium.

Frame 2:
capcom_cup_screencap_cropPrepare yourself for Capcom Cup 2017 with this special edition of Wake Up Wednesdays

With Capcom Cup less than a month away, here are all the details for this year’s event. Contrary to rumors swirling round the internet, Capcom Cup will be sticking to the traditional bracket format this year, rather than having a group stage before top 8.

Frame 3:
Smash 4 Boot CampThe player selection process has begun for the first ever Smash 4 Boot Camp

Smash 4 is finally getting its own Summit-style event, and the player selection process has officially started. Twitter nominations are currently underway, with the dreaded elimination stage starting on November 13th.

MVCI-Warriior-ThorRoyal Flush shares essential Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite combos and tips for Thor & Hulk with Body Count Fighting

Thor is my boy in MvC:I, and my love of big body character transcends titles. I love seeing this sort of breakdown for some of my favorite characters around.

Frame 2:
DBFZ Hori StickHORI is releasing a special Dragon Ball FighterZ-themed RAP Pro.N fight stick

Gosh, this is pretty isn’t it? Yes please.

Frame 3:
Canada-Cup-LogoPCMarvelGod and Holy Order-Troll given lifetime bans due to the double-entry incident at Canada Cup 2017

This might seem like old news now, but it’s going to be a significant judgement for the FGC going forward. The FGC runs on trust, but things are changing. This is going to influence how those changes are made.
