Get a bearing on flying and neat tricks in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite with this tutorial video

Flying is a long-standing mechanic in the Marvel fighting game series. And though Storm and Magneto are missing in the latest version, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, a host of characters is still able to use the trademark mechanic. rooflemonger’s new video will help you spread your wings!

The video begins by covering the basic mechanics of flight, so it’s an excellent starter for MvC:I newcomers. Flying is limited, allows movement in any directions, lets you air-dash, and also lifts a character off the ground at the start at various initial heights. Then the video goes into jab-canceling the air dashes. Doing a jab puts a stop on the dash, which can be repeated quickly. Each dash slowly lowers the fighter as well, but you can use upper directions as a countermeasure. The real meat though lies in using aerial movement for fake cross-up mix-ups — covered later on in the video — which explains some character-specific maneuvers.
