They got the touch, they got the power, yeah!

Bandai Namco released a brief trailer that highlights the upcoming fighters, Tapion and Android 13, and their abilities in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Tapion is incredibly agile, with most of his attacks utilizing his iconic sword. The fighter focuses on speed and after imaging to close in the space between him and the opponent. I’m hoping that he has an ability tied to using his ocarina, but we may have to wait until he’s fully released to find that out.

Android 13 has a particularly interesting ability that allows him to automatically dodge an enemy’s attacks. This special move seems like an incredibly useful trait that could really make the character shine. Android 13 also has a powerful energy blast attack that appears to hone in on its target as they try to escape.

Even more planned content and the FighterZ effect

On top of releasing the trailer, Bandai Namco also published a press release outlining the upcoming content for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 along with a collaboration with Dragon Ball FighterZ.

There will be two Extra Packs releasing for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, aptly named Extra Pack 1 and Extra Pack 2. Extra Pack 1 is set to release this autumn and will consist of four new characters: Tapion, Android 13, Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed) and Dabura. The previously announced Hero Colosseum mode will be included within a free update coming this autumn as well. Extra Pack 2 is bringing an original character to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 along with a brand new form of Goku! The release window for Extra Pack 2 has not been announced. There isn’t much else known about the collaboration with FighterZ, but those who own both titles can expect to unlock special items, as announced by Bandai Namco.

What content will be unlocked for those who also own Dragon Ball FighterZ? Will the brand new form of Goku seen in the recent episodes of Dragon Ball Super be playable? And what is the identity of the original character coming in Extra Pack 2? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2!
