It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything new regarding the cast of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The last batch of new characters, Tien-shinhan and Yamcha, came before Tokyo Game Show last month. Now, it seems that we’re finally getting some more character announcements.

Japanese anime and manga video game magazine V-Jump has revealed that Captain Ginyu and Nappa will be coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. While they’re both offbeat choices, both bring some unique mechanics to the fray. Nappa can summon Saibamen to help him out mid-fight, with his Break Cannon being his Level 3 Super. As for Ginyu, he can summon members of the Ginyu Force like Recoome to aid him in battle, with his Body Change technique acting as his Level 3 Super. If it hits, the Ginyu player swaps place with the opponent’s character, health-bars included. So if you were playing a low-health Ginyu against a full-health Yamcha, a successful Body Change would get you out of the danger zone, while your opponent would be close to death.

In addition from this, V-Jump has also given a release date for the game in Japan — February 1, 2018. With this, it seems that we will be getting our hands on the game at the earliest possible date next February. In the meantime, check out the scan from V Jump below.
