The official Pokémon Site has just announced a new Pokkén Tournament DX patch, and the promised changes are huge.

According to translations by Gematsu, the update will add a new recording feature to Training Mode. Bandai Namco’s recording features in Tekken are typically fantastic, so this is great news for the competitive scene.

There will also be the addition of an online 3v3 mode. While there’s no current announcement for its addition to Event Mode, it’s a step in the right direction for this under-utilized DX-specific format.

New “official” groups will open for Pokkén Tournament DX’s Group Match Mode, with new rewards to be obtained from these groups.

Lastly, a promise of an “enhanced experience,” citing various fixes and new rewards. While very light on the specifics, this could very well mean early balance changes. DX already hosted a number of new, well-received balance changes, so we’re speculating that strong newcomer Decidueye would be at the front of the line of any proposed “fixes” here.
