Just because Dragon Ball FighterZ is on the horizon with the Spirit Hypebomb gathering energy at a rapid pace, doesn’t mean that Bandai Namco Entertainment is neglecting its current Dragon Ball title. Last month, we reported that — even though the game’s Season Pass offerings have long since ended — Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 would be receiving an additional pair of fighters on the roster: the Majin Buu Saga’s Demon King Dabura and Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed,) the form Super Buu took after absorbing the powers of Gotenks, Piccolo and Mystic Gohan within himself. These two will be joining the game’s playable roster as part of DLC Pack 5, which will also include a new Mentor in the form of Dragon Ball Super’s dark Supreme Kai, Zamasu.
In this trailer, we can see the two pummeling Vegito and Adult Gohan with a variety of their signature attacks, including the Demon King’s Stone Breath and legendary sword skills. In contrast, Super Buu utilizes his personal version of Gotenks’s Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, as well as the Kamehameha Wave, and his uniquely stretchy anatomy to command throw and pummel his foes from great distances. No release date has been given for this content — though the new Z Warriors are expected to join the battle sometime this fall, and have also been confirmed to be paid DLC. However, additional free content will also be arriving at some point. You can see the full trailer below.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam PC and Nintendo Switch.
