Subscribers to the Bandai Namco Entertainment America were likely a bit surprised to see trailers pop up for Dragon Ball FighterZ characters Gohan and Majin Buu this week. After all, it wasn’t a secret that these two fighters would be in the game: they’ve been there since the beta.

Still, you might as well get used to seeing these now — as these 30-second trailers are perfectly sized for ad spaces to promote the pending 2018 release.

At the rate Namco has been playing catch-up with these character trailers, they will be done with the currently-revealed cast long before DBFZ’s release date. It’s purely speculation, but the fact they are knocking these character trailers out now could be because there are much bigger announcements to come.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available in February 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam PC — with pre-orders granting early access to an open beta, to be held closer to release.

Hey, I'm just a 3D-head in a 2D-world. I like pretty much all FGC stuff, and I really like hearing about the way people think about games.
