Earlier this week, NetherRealm Studios released the October update for Injustice 2, in preparation of the upcoming release of the game’s next DLC character, Mortal Kombat‘s God of Thunder, Raiden. Unfortunately for players everywhere, the implementation of the latest patch “in the wild” brought forth a massively unintended issue, as users reported that the patch deleted all of their Gear they had collected before September 25th.
WB Games and NRS have both been quick to respond to this situation, with the official Injustice 2 Twitter account tweeting that, “A patch will be available soon that will stop the deletion of Gear. Apologies for the delay, and we thank you for your patience!” Meanwhile, WB Games Support suggests that players who have lost any Gear obtained before September 25th should try and reboot the game after installing the patch. This should clear up any issues, but regarding Gear that was acquired after this past Monday, the site noted that the team was still investigating this issue.
Update: a patch will be available soon that will stop the deletion of Gear. Apologies for the delay and we thank you for your patience!

Though this has understandably been a frustratingly unfortunate event for many players, it’s good to see that NRS is taking action this quickly, and will no doubt be rolling out a corrective patch to improve the situation imminently.
