Machinima has unveiled the trailer for season 2 of their “Chasing The Cup” series, which will now focus on NetherRealm Studios’ latest competitive title, Injustice 2. Last year, viewers were able to follow the roads of SonicFox, Pig Of The Hut, Perfect Legend, and HoneyBee and his brother Biohazard, as they prepared for the ESL MKX Pro League Finals.

The new season will chronicle the following players:

  • Echo Fox’s Dominique “SonicFox” McLean
  • Panda Global’s Bryant “Kitana Prime” Benzing
  • Michael “Michaelangelo” Lerma
  • Rogue Gaming’s Frank “Slayer” Perales
  • The Siren’s Jennifer “Llumiya” Zall
  • Noble’s Ryan “Dragon” Walker
  • Matthew” Biohazard” Commandeur
  • Critical Reaction’s Timothy “HoneyBee” Commandeur

Our story begins at last July’s Evo 2017, where we see moments such as Slayer officially receiving his jersey from the Rouge Gaming house, The Sirens making their Evo debut, HoneyBee’s struggle to juggle his gaming career with his personal life, as well as the drama of the top 8 qualifying matches.

The trailer, as well as the first three episodes, can be seen below. The next three will premiere on Machinma’s YouTube Channel, as well as the CW Seed platform, on Tuesday, September 26th.  The finale will airE exclusively on The CW network on Tuesday, October 3rd at 8:00 PM ET/PT, culminating in the recently-completed 2017 Injustice 2 Pro League Grand Finals in Hollywood, California.

Next time, we’ll see the drama of the Evo Grand Finals unfold, as HoneyBee looks to continue his miraculous bracket run from the losers side against Noble|Dragon.

This is yet another great step forward for both the NRS community, as well as the FGC as a whole, as they continue to grow and become recognized on a national scale.
