If you ask anyone about dominant players in Injustice or Mortal Kombat, the first name that will usually come out of their mouths is Echo Fox’s SonicFox. Having amassed over $300,000 in tournament winnings on NetherRealm Studios games in a few short years time, he is definitely one of the premier North American fighting game pros.

Prior to his big win at the Injustice 2 Pro Series Finals, BET sat down with SonicFox to discuss his mentality on fighting games. They discussed his usage of many characters in each game he plays, saying, “If you could at least cover every single one of your matchups in any game ever with multiple characters, then you’re set.” He also discusses the mentality of losing, stating, “So long as I learned why I lost, it’s always considered a win for me because next time I come back five times stronger.”
