The existence of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was first revealed via a series of leaks, as such it’s fitting that, just a week from release, we’re still seeing leaks about the game. This latest one revolves around the remaining 4 unnamed DLC characters, who they are, and when they’ll come out.
According to this new leak, the 4 unnamed DLC characters for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite are Monster Hunter, Gill, Winter Soldier, and Venom. Of these, Gill is the one that’s most interesting, since he hasn’t been mentioned in any previous leaks. Meanwhile, Venom is being counted as a brand new character owing to the fact that this is his first 3D outing, and that all his moves have been redone from scratch — gaining some new attacks, on top of the ones he retains from the older games.
The leak also goes over some of these characters’ playstyles, including that of the two previously announced characters, Sigma and Black Panther. The latter two are supposedly rushdown characters, with Sigma taking a lot from Mega Man X and X2 and Black Panther borrowing from Sabretooth and X-23. Winter Soldier brings damage via his arsenal of guns and weapons. Gill is supposedly retains his “Resurrection” Super Art from Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike — bringing him back to life once if he has 3 bars of meter, at the cost of not being eligible to be revived by the Soul Stone.
These characters will supposedly come out in groups of two, every month, starting this October. Players will have the option of buying them individually at $5.99 a character, or together for $9.99. The first batch with Sigma and Black Panther supposedly releases on October 3rd.
In addition to these, the leak also claims that boss character Ultron Sigma is an unlockable character. He supposedly becomes playable once players have completed story mode on both difficulty settings.
Additional stages are also supposedly in development. One such stage is “Asteroid S: Throne of the Four Gods,” which combined Magneto’s Asteroid M from the comics with the Shadaloo headquarters.
Other items in the leak include the possibility of free DLC — such as new Infinity Surges and Storms — and additional game modes, as well as how character popularity may have influenced the batch of DLC characters for next year.
