Here’s a first look at Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s final boss: Ultron Omega

The Marvel Vs. series is not stranger to giant-sized final bosses. Starting with Apocalypse in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, each game’s main single-player mode has always been punctuated with a fight against a screen-filling monstrosity. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite continues that tradition — as yesterday, footage of the game’s final boss Ultron Omega surfaced on the net.

While he has “Ultron” in is name, Ultron Omega’s appearance borrows more from his Capcom half — Sigma. Longtime Mega Man X fans will probably get a sense of deja vu when they see the boss, looking much like Sigma’s final form in Mega Man X5.

Sadly, the footage of Ultron Omega was pulled from YouTube, however this was not before people made animated GIF images from it. AvengerAlex has put these together in a video of his own. Now, because of this, some things that were highlighted in the old video may not be as obvious here. First being that the fight takes quite awhile — over 5 minutes in fact, which is a slog in fighting game terms. Additionally, Ultron Omega constantly switches Infinity Stones during the match, and has his own versions of their Infinity Surges and Storms — somewhat similar to Thanos in Marvel Super Heroes. Finally, he can also call in drone, similar to Galactus’ heralds in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
