Some time back, we reported on the fact that known dataminer X-Kira had discovered evidence that a proper arcade mode was finally coming to Street Fighter V. Now, it seems that they may have found out when this mode will finally come to the game.

In a recent post on Facebook, X-Kira posted what seems to be evidence pointing to the arcade mode being released in January of next year. This comes from the naming of the folder for the mode, which is “201801”.

A true arcade mode is something that fans have been asking for since the game’s release. If this is real, then it looks like Capcom plans on rolling it out after the current Capcom Pro Tour season is over, likely alongside what other changes (such as a possible bonus stage) they have in store for Season 3.
